What does “350 weight distribution” mean? Despite the fact that “350” and weight distribution” aren’t linked with each other, they’re both linked to the BMW brand in some capacity. Although, this phrase keeps popping up when associated with BMW, it’s not completely invalid as to why. Otherwise, it’s time for us at Edmonton BMW to start investigating the different facts behind the 350 weight distribution. We also listed down a couple of possibilities for what the behind either “350” or “weight distribution” could mean to the BMW brand.
350i
One possibility we looked into a preconceived notion that BMW offers a 350i trim level for the 3 Series line of vehicles. However, this simply isn’t true. The 3 Series line only goes up to 340i for all models, from the 3 Series Sedan, to the M3 Sedan. If we look at the performance power for the 340i, it has a horsepower of 320 hp and torque worth 330 lb-ft. It’s already powerful enough, could you imagine anything more from a 3 Series model?
Horsepower
Another theory we at Edmonton BMW had for the “350” could be people looking for how much horsepower a BMW vehicle has. This is one of the more plausible reasons why people would search for a “BMW 350”, as most of the vehicles in the lineup range around 350 hp. For example, the BMW i8, the company’s most premium and powerful vehicle, pushes out a horsepower of 357 hp—not bad for a plug-in hybrid vehicle!
A close competitor
One result from our investigation ended up actually being a comparison between the BMW 5 Series and the Lexus ES 350, both fantastic sedans (but if you were to ask us which one we’d pick, I think you’d have a pretty good idea about our answer).
Weight Distribution
It’s a bit difficult to pinpoint where the connection between the number “350” and “weight distribution” comes from, but we can definitely link the latter to the BMW brand. Funny enough, BMW’s technology for their vehicles suspension actually distributes the vehicle’s weight by 50/50, so in away, you could link it to “350” but not really.
These were just a couple of things we speculated about what the meaning behind “Is BMW 350 the Weight Distribution?” could be. If you asked us about the conclusion we drew from all this, we’d have to tell you we have even more questions than before. Luckily, if you have questions about the BMW vehicles in our inventory, we here at Edmonton BMW are 100% confident in our answers for those. You can even book a test drive on our website to get yourself started!
