It’s an exciting time for BMW. On top of the latest models continuously releasing, concept models are constantly in development and showcased around the world at automotive shows, bringing to light the talented skills of the designers and engineers who craft each vehicle. So what does BMW have up its sleeve? Learn more from us at Edmonton BMW!
BMW Concept iX3 (2018)
For the first time ever, BMW created an X model with an all-electric drivetrain. The Concept iX3 is a Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) that comes with the latest fifth generation eDrive technology and doesn’t lack any of the performance you’d expect from a regular X model. The winning combination of its electric motor, transmission, and power produces a surprisingly incredible 270 hp—all while remaining a locally emission-free drive.
BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupé (2018)
One of the latest innovations coming soon from BMW to the consumer market, the Concept version of the M8 delivers both the elegance and style you would expect with such a prestigious automotive brand. Its sleek coupe silhouette curves and edges with distinctive details and features only found in M Performance models such as a flowing roofline and the ionic M double-bar kidney grille. In addition to twin tailpipes, 21-inch light-alloy wheels, and a two-tone gold and black finish, we can’t wait to see what the future 8 series has in-store for consumers.
BMW i Vision Dynamics (2017)
Combining the electric power of both this year’s i3 and i8 models, the Concept BMW i Vision Dynamics demonstrates the future technology of electric driving. Much in the same vein as the concept iX3, the i Vision Dynamics maximizes power and performance without producing high emissions. This BMW Concept car can go for over 600 km in electric range, with a top speed of over 193 km/h and can go from 0-100 in just 4 seconds.
This was just a small tease of what BMW has been working on for its concept cars. To learn more about the latest innovations from BMW, make sure to stay updated with your local Edmonton BMW dealer!
