Continuing BMW’s tradition of delivering refined driving experiences, the ‘M’ badging on select models reflect a higher pedigree in both performance and style. Depending on the vehicle, an M Sport Package is either a trim level or additional package option to give your BMW a more refined and distinctive style compared to the base-level aesthetics with standard models. Not to be confused with M Performance vehicles like the M3, the BMW M Sport Package takes what you know and love about the brand while adding a touch of its higher-premium flare. Take a look below at the extra benefits the M Sport Package can add to your BMW model.
A Polished Exterior
Even though it’s not an official ‘M’ model, M Sport Packages offer just as much style and finesse from the outside. For starters, the package usually includes detailing features such as larger wheels, performance tires, a unique exterior trim featuring small, and M-badging details throughout the vehicle’s body. You also have the option to add additional details to complete the experience as well, including a blacked-out front grille, wind deflectors for convertible models, as well as M-branded doorsill finishers.
Sophisticated Interior Details
Much like its exterior design features, the M Sport Package doesn’t fall short with its interior features either. When you first step inside a BMW model with the package, you’ll immediately notice how much more polished the details are, with aluminum trims canvassing the controls and doorsills in place of the standard high-gloss black you would find in standard BMW models. Meanwhile, some of the most stand-out details you’ll find inside are also the packages’ most subtle, with additional M branding found on the steering wheel with paddle shifters and sport seats.
Enhanced Performance Features
Not only does the M Sport Package enhance your BMW model visually, but it also adds subtle tweaks under the hood to boost its performance as well. In select BMW models, the M Sport Package features dynamic damper control that changes the suspension settings with just the flip of a switch. Speaking of suspension, some M Sport Package models also have Adaptive M Suspension, which works similar to the dynamic damper controls, except with the added benefit of the suspension automatically changing depending on the current driving condition. Additionally, models with an automatic transmission can also get the Sport Automatic transmission, which adds a smoother change in gears compared to the standard version.
