How to Use BMW Surround View Cameras?
It just takes a push of a button to activate your BMW’s cameras on the display screen inside your vehicle. On the screen, you’ll see the camera view on the left giving you an overtop profile view of the BMW where you can switch cameras on the right, and a settings panel beside that. By default, you’ll see the appropriate camera angle for each driving situation displayed on-screen, but it’s easy to switch between each one. Use the screen to simply change the camera source by tapping the respective camera on the overhead diagram display of your vehicle.
BMW Surround View Camera Options
There are several different cameras and view modes to see your vehicle and the area around it. The main four camera sources are at front, rear, rear left flank and rear right flank of your vehicle. As mentioned above, you can easily cycle through these options. A 3D view is available, which gives you a perspective where you can move around the outside of your vehicle through the iDrive controller, touch screen or gesture control (where applicable). A panoramic view (available at the front or rear) can be utilized to show you a wider birth of view, which can be especially useful at crossways and exits. There is also a Car Wash view, optimized for the best view when getting your vehicle clean. The camera options are varied and give you unfettered access to the view around your vehicle.
