2023 BMW i7 in Edmonton, AB

BMW has long been an early adopter and pioneer of electric vehicles (EVs) and sustainable mobility. As part of its mission to electrify a large portion of its lineup, the upcoming 7 series will include a fully electric variant, the i7. The 2023 BMW i7 will be an electric alternative to the 7 series and its most powerful variant. This full-size, fully electric luxury sedan is something to truly look forward to. At Edmonton BMW, we have a wide new inventory of BMW vehicles and will be stocking up on the electric 7 series, the i7, when it's released. The 2023 i7 is currently in its final phase of development and should be unveiled soon! While no official release date has been set yet, we expect sales to begin in early 2023. Here's what we know so far about BMW's big electric vehicle launch-the 2023 BMW i7.

2023 BMW i7 Performance

The 2023 BMW i7 will have a fully electric drive train with the best possible consumption values and ranges. It will have at least two electric motors, high-voltage batteries, and an all-wheel-drive system. The top trim level is rumoured to have three electric motors with a large 120-kWh battery pack. The highest 2023 i7 trim is expected to have 650 horsepower and a driving range of 700 kilometres! Two of its three motors will be mounted at the back, powering the rear wheels independently, and the third one will be positioned on the front axle, allowing for torque vectoring control. This model would also support fast charging that will give you a range of 100 km in just 10 minutes.

The 2023 BMW i7 will also allegedly have a dual-motor setup. A high-voltage 105-kWh battery in the floor will continuously deliver peak power to supply the e-motors. This i7 trim is predicted to travel 482 km on a single charge, have at least 500 horsepower, and will also make use of the brand's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The expected torque for the base trim is 420 lb-ft and 564 lb-ft of torque for higher trims. All in all, the 2023 BMW i7's capability is set to take the market by storm.

2023 BMW i7 Exterior

The 2023 BMW i7 style will be bold and revolutionary and will make it distinguishable from the rest of the series 7 models. The 2023 i7 finds its own unique identity through its ultimate aerodynamic efficiency design elements and a distinct electric sedan shape. Exterior features will include flush or retracting door handles with push-button open and close functions on soft-close doors. The doors might be available with options such as automatically closing doors for a truly luxe experience.

The 2023 BMW i7's design will incorporate the company's signature four-eyed front with high-end split headlights. The shark nose front-end should have BMW's traditional blue accent on the large kidney grille. We expect the grille to have an "Iconic Glow grille" feature available that illuminates the front grille. The car might also be adorned with a wide panorama Sky Lounge roof that will transform both the appearance and interior experience.

2023 BMW i7 Interior and Tech

The 2023 BMW i7 interior will be as upscale as expected from a high-end BMW vehicle with multiple designs and colour options for the upholstery. What we look forward to most in a futuristic vehicle like this one are the tech features it will have. The 2023 i7 will be a technological powerhouse. Inside the cabin, the 2023 i7 will have a new infotainment system with a massive, curved screen that consists of a 14.9-inch central display and a 12.3-inch driver information display. The 2023 i7 takes Apple CarPlay to the next level with a new Smart Routes feature that will use Apple Maps to pick an optimal route based on the vehicle's remaining driving range and the locations of charging stations along the way.

2023 BMW i7 Safety

The 2023 BMW i7 will offer all the reliability and active safety features that BMW is renowned for, including a feature that restricts the speed, volume, and horsepower output for younger drivers. The 2023 i7 will also include rear-view cameras mounted to each of the front fenders. The 2023 i7 might be available with a new autonomous driving system with a natural AI-enabled voice assistant as well. The kidney grille would hide a plethora of sensors and multiple cameras required for autonomous driving and active safety systems.
