Impressive Performance
The xDrive40i drivetrain remains standard equipment in the Concept X7 models. A turbocharged six-cylinder engine combines effort with a 48-volt electric motor to create a mild hybrid that generates 375 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, which is an improvement over previous models. Each vehicle also has an automatic eight-speed transmission. Axles equipped with air suspension and active steering technology ensure that the X7 offers agile manoeuvrability whether driving in town or out on the open road.
Opulent Styling
X7's iconic polished chrome kidney-shaped grille means the SUV is unmistakably a BMW. Character lines and sharp angles accent the front end, which also bears more chrome accents and high-riding narrow headlights. A side view of the exterior reveals a subtle aerodynamic profile and a glimpse of the spacious interior. Slightly flared wheel wells, smooth curves, and character lines encourage the eye to travel from front to back, where continued angles and curves create a three-dimensional display.
The modern interior has a futuristic appearance secondary to the extended curve screen that houses the digital instrument panel and infotainment system touch-screen. A unique light bar accents the middle of the unencumbered dashboard. The central console extends from beneath the dashboard and between the two front seats, bearing the engine start, gear selection, and iDrive controls.
